Moon Rise

Moon rise, glaze in eyes,

Head pounds, mind unsound.

Can’t sleep, thoughts arise,

That’s just great.

Moon too bright,

Thoughts too loud.

Need a valium.

Need one now.

My only way to rest.

Yet I’m too lazy,

To stagger around.

Nighttime becomes a test,

Of delirium and extreme unrest.
